When we see kids and teens on the autism spectrum, we see their strengths and potential to excel at being the best version of themselves.

We first look at the client’s current skills (strengths) and then build up from there by teaching communication, social, self-help, play, and other skills.

We also focus on teaching the skills needed to reduce maladaptive behaviors. Some common skills might be the skill to be flexible when you don’t get your way and the skill to communicate your needs better instead of engaging in maladaptive behavior.

Our top priority is to create happy memories with clients while implementing ABA in the most meaningful and effective way possible.

We design ABA sessions based on the unique skill set and specific needs of each client. For instance, we might design some ABA sessions to be more rigid and structured with some clients, and more naturalistic with other clients.

As clients make progress, we aim to move away from structured ABA sessions to more naturalistic ABA sessions that can allow for better generalization of skills.

About

Our goal is to fully empower children and teens on the autism spectrum with new abilities by using their current skill set as a foundation upon which we can teach more skills. Ultimately, we want all the skills we teach them to eventually allow them more free access to what they want in their lives now and in the future. We first and foremost aim to connect with our clients so a loving and trusting relationship can flourish. We implement ABA while also instilling the values of peace, love, non-violence, and kindness to our clients because we know that anyone without those values can potentially harm themselves or others and/or potentially experience too much anxiety, frustration, and anger.

Why ABA?

ABA has been supported by rigorous scientific research over many years with the autistic population to increase verbal language, social skills, and alternative coping solutions to prevent tantrums, aggression, self-injurious habits, and many others. We all want to communicate with more love and kindness and we all want to navigate our social world with less stress and more fun to get what we want out of life. We only implement the most meaningful aspects of ABA with a WHOLE LOT OF FUN, LOVE and KINDNESS so that gaining those essential skills can be as fun as possible, and so we can maximize the likelihood that those skills will be retained across a lifetime, across various settings, and across various people.
